An 8-year-old boy was hurt when a school bus struck him as he was running across a Brooklyn street, authorities said.

The child dashed across the intersection at Hegeman and Rockaway avenues and was hit by the bus around 7 a.m.

He suffered trauma to his legs and was rushed to Brookdale University Hospital. He is expected to survive, officials said.

The driver remained at the scene and has not been charged with a crime. The incident is still under investigation.
