A deranged man grabbed a 9-year-old boy off a Staten Island street as he was walking to school Friday and repeatedly stabbed him, authorities said.

The boy was walking along Union Avenue near Leyden Avenue in Mariners Harbor at about 8 a.m., when the creep grabbed him from behind, police said.

The assailant gouged his tiny victim with a sharp object in the neck, arm, and back of the head, before the kid was able to break free and dash off through the snow, according to cops.

Police sources said the attacker, described as an older man, didn’t speak a word during the apparently unprovoked attack.

The victim ran to his nearby home, where his older brother called for an ambulance.

First responders rushed the boy to Richmond University Medical Center, where he is listed in stable condition.

Investigators didn’t immediately identify a suspect.
