A courageous Bronx teenager shot in the head on the way home from school made her first public appearance yesterday at a breakfast where Mayor Bloomberg pleaded with religious leaders to take a major role in the war on illegal weapons.

Bloomberg invited Vada Vasquez, the 15-year-old unintended victim of the Nov. 16 Bronx shooting, to the annual interfaith breakfast he hosts at the New York Public Library on Fifth Avenue.

Vada, who miraculously survived a gunshot wound to the head and was home for Christmas, was greeted with applause and thanked everyone for praying for her recovery.
