The skies may clear by early May for out-in-the-cold TV meteorologist Heidi Jones.

The WABC/Channel 7 weather gal is negotiating with Manhattan prosecutors in hopes of resolving charges she filed a false police report claiming a mysterious Hispanic pervert had jumped her as she jogged in Central Park.

“We’re involved in active discussions for a possible resolution of this case,” Jones’ lawyer, Paul Callan (pictured, with Jones yesterday), yesterday told Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Felicia Mennin.

The lawyer sounded so confident that the case would be resolved within the next month or so that he told the judge he didn’t need to bother filing pre-trial motions.

The judge asked him to do so anyway. Callan agreed to file the motions — in which he’ll seek to suppress police statements in which Jones admitted “personal issues” led her to concoct the attempted rape tale “for attention” — by April 20.
