Mayor Eric Adams’ top fundraiser is no longer raising money for his reelection campaign, the mayor confirmed Tuesday.
The 25-year-old campaign staffer, Brianna Suggs, had her house raided by the FBI in early November causing the mayor to abruptly return from Washington, DC, where he was set to meet with federal lawmakers about the migrant crisis.
“She is no longer doing fund-raising for the campaign,” Hizzoner told reporters during his weekly off-topic press conference.

A source close to the campaign told The Post she remains on staff for the 2025 reelection but is transitioning to a new role. That role was not immediately clear.
Calls to Suggs were not returned.
The news comes as it was also revealed Tuesday that Suggs had retained an attorney separate from the campaign.
Attorney Rebecca Ricigliano, a former federal prosecutor in the Southern District and first deputy in New Jersey’s Attorney General Office, will take the lead on her defense, the law firm confirmed.
“We look forward to continued cooperation with the government’s investigation and her work in support of the Mayor’s 2025 campaign,” said Rebecca Carr, the spokesperson for law firm Crowell & Moring.
Sources previously told The Post Suggs had been searching for separate counsel. Gothamist first reported the new development Tuesday.
In the days after the raids, which also included Adams heaped praise on Suggs, saying he had “full confidence” when asked if she would stay on the campaign.
“I would love for her to stay with the campaign team,” Adams he told Dan Mannarino on PIX11.
The young political operative had a meteoric rise in the Democratic machine due to her close ties with the mayor’s longstanding top adviser, Ingrid Lewis-Martin, according to sources.
Sources have described Lewis-Martin as a political “godmother” to Suggs.
The feds also raided that same morning the New Jersey home of Rana Abbasova, the now-suspended City Hall staffer who was allegedly found to have “acted improperly,” and former Turkish Airline executive Cenk Öcal, who worked on the mayor’s transition team.
