A man who lost control of his Volkswagen Jetta in April on the 59th Street Bridge filed a lawsuit yesterday accusing the city of negligence for altering the exit ramp to create space for pedestrians and bicyclists.

Alexander Palacio, 39, lost an arm in the April 6 crash that also killed his companion, Beatriz Rodriguez, 40.

Two Queens storefronts damaged in that crash separately filed a notice of claim earlier this year against the city.

An attorney for the stores, Scott Agulnick, said Palacio may also be named in the lawsuit because cops believe he was speeding and driving without a license.

Palacio’s crash came less than two weeks after another driver lost control, flew off the exit ramp and killed a pedestrian.

Palacio declined to comment.
