It was that hot yesterday!
A 22-year-old man took off his shirt and jumped more than 120 feet from the Brooklyn Bridge into the East River — and told his rescuers he was just trying to cool off.
The daredevil jumper was plucked from the filthy water by the crew of a New York Water taxi carrying 89 passengers at around 1:45 p.m. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.
“I just wanted to go for a swim,” the man said, according to witnesses.
