A broken headlight outside the Holland Tunnel on Friday morning led to the pot bust of a convicted killer on lifetime parole, officials said.
Cops noticed that Kenneth “Kenny” Christian, 44, was driving with a defective headlight near the Lower Manhattan entrance to the tunnel at about 6:15 a.m., Port Authority Police said.
When an officer stopped Christian and started to interview him, he detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car, the PAPD said.
A search of the car uncovered 1.3 pounds of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and more than $3,400, cops said.
Christian was charged with criminal possession of marijuana in the third degree, criminal use of drug paraphernalia and criminal sale of marijuana and was also hit with a traffic summons.
Christian of Brooklyn was arrested in 1993 in connection to a fatal shooting of a man during a robbery in his home borough, officials said. He was released on parole in 2013, nearly 20 years later, records show.
