Several children were among eight people injured in a Bronx apartment fire Wednesday — and cops are looking into whether the kids were home alone, authorities said.
The blaze broke out around 1:20 p.m. on the seventh floor of the Butler Houses on Webster Avenue in Claremont, an FDNY rep said. The fire was placed under control at 2 p.m.
Eight people were hurt, including one critically and two seriously, according to officials. They were transported to Bronx-Lebanon Hospital.
Fire officials confirmed that several of the injured are children — and police sources said authorities are investigating whether they had been left alone.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
