A Bronx car thief was seriously injured when he slammed the stolen ride into another car less than half a mile away early Monday, authorities said.

The unidentified suspect, who police said is in his 20s or 30s, stole a white Honda Civic from East 216th Street and Bronxwood Avenue in Williamsbridge around 1:30 a.m., police said.

He took off in the Honda, making it only about seven blocks before striking a blue Hyundai sedan with a 23-year-old woman behind the wheel, authorities said.

The suspect was hospitalized in serious condition and the woman in stable condition, police said.
