A Bronx man was arrested late Thursday for killing a 22-year-old reveler after opening fire at a Bronx barbecue last June.

Longwood resident Kendell Davis, 22, was arrested and charged with the murder of party-goer Melshawn Cook.

Cook was at the barbecue near Westchester Avenue in Soundview around 10 p.m. when he was shot in the right side of his torso. He was taken to Jacobi Medical Center, where he later died.

Davis has a history of eight prior arrests, including weapons charges. He and the victim were acquaintances.

The incident is being investigated as possibly gang-related. The investigation is ongoing, cops said.
