Lesandro Guzman-Feliz’s murder was just the latest in a major surge of homicides in The Bronx this year, according to NYPD data.
The borough has seen 44 murders through June 17 — a 69.2 percent increase over last year’s 26 slayings for the same period.
The 48th Precinct — where teen Guzman-Feliz was stabbed to death by a gang last week — has seen eight homicides, or double last year’s total, for the same period.
