A scooter rider was killed when he slammed into a van — which then ran him over in the Bronx Tuesday night, cops said. 

The 38-year-old victim, whose name was not immediately released, was riding a gas-powered scooter east on East 188th Street approaching the corner of Lorillard Place in Little Italy around 7:10 p.m. when he rammed into a Ford Transit van entering the intersection, police said. 

The man was hurled from his scooter, and then run over by the van, police said. 

He was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital with severe trauma to his torso, cops said. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Someone removed the scooter from the scene before cops arrived, authorities said. 

The Ford driver, a 25-year-old man, wasn’t hurt and stayed on scene. 

The NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad is probing the crash.
