One man was killed and another was critically injured in a shooting on a Bronx street Sunday night, police said.

Erik J. Hernandez, 37, and another man, 31, were shot near the intersection of Monterey Avenue and East 180th Street in the East Tremont neighborhood at about 9:10 p.m., according to police.

Hernandez, of White Plains, was struck in the chest. He was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The other victim was hit in the head. He was taken to the same hospital, where he remained in critical condition Monday morning, authorities said.

It was not immediately clear what sparked the fatal shooting.

Footage from the scene showed over a dozen evidence markers on the street, which are typically used to document shell casings.

No arrests have been made, cops said.
