His customers are flush with joy!

While toilet paper continues to get wiped off the shelves nationwide due to coronavirus fears, local Bronx stores are plenty stocked with the goods — and at least one shopkeeper says he will be selective with who he sells his rolls to.

“I’m not going to sell to anyone out of my neighborhood,” said Giash Uddin, 65, the owner of the A&A Variety Double Discount in Parkchester. “They know me and I know them very well. They know this is their store. If I can get it for them, I will.”

Uddin added, “I’m not going to sell to anyone from Queens.”

The Sterling Avenue shop was hawking more than 500 rolls of toilet paper sold in packs of four, 24 and 36 as of Friday — but Uddin said it’s the last of his supply for now.

“I put a limit on it, so everyone can get a little,” he said. “I look out for my customers all the time. I need to make them happy.  That’s why I am here. I’ve been in this community for 35 years,” said the store owner.

Uddin said he ordered a truckload of the tushy tissue two weeks ago, but only got one-third of the order.

“The factory said this is it,” he said. “Whatever I have, that’s it.”

Uddin’s loyal customers praised the merchant who they say would never price gouge.

“He takes care of us. He looks out for us and I am grateful that he is here,” said Daisy Morales, 61, who has been shopping at the discount store for the last 13 years.

“I got my toilet paper and wipes here and I’m still getting my toilet paper here,” Morales said. “You can depend on him.”

Another customer, Erica Hernandez, 42, called the store workers “the best” as she purchased a 20-roll package of Marcal toilet paper Friday.

“I love these guys,” she said. “They never fail us.”

Meanwhile, the B&M Discount store on Castle Hill Avenue was stocked with nearly 300 rolls of toilet paper on Friday.

“Toilet paper is very hard to get, but we make it happen,” said store manager Mohammad Karim, who noted that the shop placed three toilet paper orders this week.

“We go from company to company. I order from one today, then the next day I try another. We try to place an order every day,” he said.

Store cashier Shafin Ahmed said that toilet paper “is difficult to get” as the potentially deadly virus grips the city.

“We got some a week ago and we still have some left,” he said.

American Gourmet Deli on Castle Hill Road was also peddling a hefty supply of toilet paper.

“People love the Scott [brand] so they sell out faster. We just got a supply three, four days ago,” said Amgad Alammari, a college student whose dad owns the deli.

The store had more than 200 rolls of toilet paper on its shelves as of Friday.

“Hopefully, people come in and buy [toilet paper], then business will go up,” Alammari said.

Bronx resident David Colon said he has no trouble finding toilet paper in the borough.

“It’s everywhere in the Bronx,” Colon said. “If people want it, they should come to the Bronx.”
