A teenage college student was gunned down early yesterday in The Bronx, authorities said.

Choquel Strong, 19, was mortally wounded by a bullet to the stomach while standing in front of an apartment building on Metropolitan Avenue near Maple Drive at 1:30 a.m., police said. He was rushed to Jacobi Hospital where he died.

A family friend, Louis Rosado, 42, said that Strong watched over his mother.
