The feline fanatic who slipped into a lion’s den at the Bronx Zoo claimed she was the animal “reincarnated,” as she promised to turn herself in to the NYPD — eventually.
Myah Autry went on a 15-minute rant Thursday following her court appearance in Kearny, New Jersey, on shoplifting charges, NBC New York reported.
“I would say it’s a lot more spiritual,” she told the network when asked why she attempted the stunt last month.
Autry, 32, posted video on Instagram showing her sneaking into the lion’s enclosure and dancing in front of the big cat. Other clips show her in a giraffe enclosure at the zoo.
Asked whether she was afraid she could’ve been mauled, Autry responded, “I am the lion now. Can’t you tell? Have you ever heard of reincarnation?” before chiding the reporter, “Do your history, young man!”

The NYPD is seeking to charge Autry with trespassing.
She told NBC she will turn herself in but didn’t give a timeline.

“I will do that but I do know the law,” she said.

At one point, she expressed her

.

“I love the NYPD. Hi, NYPD,” she said, smiling.

Autry, whose friends have feared for her mental well-being, also delivered a message to the lion.

“I love you, lion, hope they treating you right in the zoo. Know Myah love you. I didn’t mean to mistreat you or nothing,” she said. “I seen how you came to me. We connected. To the kids, respect your parents, please. Your teachers. Authority.”
