A baby girl died Wednesday after being rushed to a Brooklyn hospital in critical condition, cops said.

The five-month-old had been badly beaten, said a source with knowledge of the incident.

“It’s really sad,” the source said. “The baby had a lot of bruising on the body.”

The baby girl was taken from a Bushwick apartment to Wyckoff Hospital Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. She was later transferred to New York Hospital, where she died today.

Police are awaiting medical examiner results before they determine criminality, cops said.
