Police are investigating the sudden and tragic death of an infant in a Bedford Stuyvesant housing project.
A family member called 911 around 12:35 a.m., Monday, reporting that the newborn girl had stopped breathing in the home at the Breevort Houses, cops said.
The baby was rushed to Interfaith Hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Sources said the tiny girl was found face-down in her crib, bleeding from the nose. There were no other visible signs of trauma and several family members were in the home at the time, sources added.
Investigators are waiting for the Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death.
