A Brooklyn mother and her two daughters were in critical condition early Saturday after a fire tore through their Borough Park home, authorities said.
The blaze started in the three-story apartment building’s stairway and was called in about 11 p.m.
“I saw them bringing her down the ladder on a stretcher. She looked hurt real bad, her hair was burnt up,” said witness Christopher McDonald.
“We were here in under two minutes,” said FDNY deputy assistant chief Richard Howe, who said the girls are about 12.
The mom and girls were rushed to Lutheran and Maimonides hospitals.
