A woman was punched in the face last night after an intruder broke into her Brooklyn apartment and stole her cellphone, according to police.

The victim said a man knocked on the front door of her third-floor apartment on Berry Street in Williamsburg at around 9 p.m. before barging in and pummeling her, cops said.

She was taken to Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn and listed in stable condition.

Police also responded to a call at Nassau Avenue in Greenpoint, Brooklyn where a woman told cops that a man followed her to her third-floor apartment and grabbed her.

Police did not know last night whether the two incidents were related.
