Brooklyn streets were flooded with murky water Tuesday morning after a water main break, according to officials and video.

Water spewed above ground on East 78th Street near Farragut Road in Canarsie just before 10 a.m., spreading toward Ralph Avenue, according to police and fire officials.

The water was shut off at 11:40 a.m., officials added.

“Water has been shut off to the impacted area and crews are excavating to determine the source of the leak,” according to a Department of Environmental Protection spokesperson. “Crews are on scene investigating.”

All nearby homes and businesses have restored their water, according to the DEP.

NYPD officers are controlling traffic at 78th Street and Farragut Road.
