A 13-year-old boy is clinging to life after he was hit by an SUV Friday night near a Brooklyn playground, authorities said.

The teen was struck by a white 2006 Ford Explorer outside Linwood Playground near Hegeman Avenue in East New York just before 9 p.m., officials and witnesses said.

The 57-year-old woman behind the wheel told investigators that she was driving along Linwood Street when she heard a thud and looked out to see the boy lying near a bike, police sources said.

An area resident said that the impact was so forceful that she heard it from her front yard — and that it sent the teen’s shoe flying from his right foot.

“Blood was falling from his mouth. It was horrible,” said the woman, who declined to give her name. “He was unconscious. You couldn’t tell if he was breathing or not.”

Paramedics rushed the boy to Maimonides Medical Center, where he’s listed in critical condition with injuries including internal bleeding.

The driver is cooperating with investigators, and has not been charged with a crime.
