A Long Island man stabbed his older brother in the neck and set their family’s basement on fire during a wild incident inside their Dix Hills home Monday, police said.

The 30-year-old suspect and his 32-year-old brother, both of whom live with their parents in the home in Northwood Court, were together around 11 a.m. when the younger sibling attacked the other man with a knife, said the Suffolk County Police Department. The men’s parents were home at the time.

At some point, the 30-year-old also torched the basement, police said.

Cops were called, and officers Tased the 30-year-old before he was taken to Huntington Hospital. Charges against him are pending.

The stabbing victim, who suffered non-life threatening injuries, was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment, cops said.

The mother of the men was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.

Detectives are investigating the incident, police said.
