ALBANY — The conviction of ex-Senate Majority Leader Joseph Bruno should bring an end to the practice of lawmakers having lucrative side jobs, an assemblyman told The Post yesterday.

“If we’re going to have a full-time Legislature — and what in my view is full-time pay — we should have legislators who do nothing but legislate,” said Democrat Mark Schroeder of Buffalo.

Bruno, a Republican, was convicted Monday over corrupt consulting fees.
