Hundreds of beer cans spilled onto a Brooklyn highway when a truck hauling a shipment of Budweiser overturned just after 4 a.m. Monday.

Cases of the “King of Beers” hit the street and scattered cans in every direction. Many of the cans exploded and gallons of brew washed over multiple lanes of traffic and rained down onto the streets below an elevated stretch of the Gowanus Expressway.

EMS workers pulled the driver out of the truck’s mangled cab and rushed him to Methodist Hospital in serious condition.

Firefighters sopped up the sudsy mess, which snarled traffic on the highway’s eastbound lanes for hours, officials said.
