A Brooklyn building collapsed onto three construction workers yesterday, leaving one hardhat up to his neck in bricks and fighting for his life.

The three-story residential building at 34 Conselyea St. in Williamsburg was being gutted in order to add a fourth floor when it collapsed at about 1:30 p.m.

One of the workers, a man in his 40s, was rushed to Bellevue Hospital in serious condition after being crushed by the rubble.

“I heard someone yelling. I saw smoke everywhere. It was dust, but it looked like smoke” said Jeff Wilser, who lives nearby.

Two other workers suffered minor injuries, as did one of a handful of people who helped in the rescue. Officials believe the workers, from China Perfect Construction in Hoboken, NJ, moved a load-bearing wall — which, combined with the heavy rains, caused the collapse.
