An art-gallery owner is crying foul over city approval for hotelier Ian Schrager’s plan to build a 25-story building on Chrystie Street, saying the tower would darken her space and should have to pass a city environmental review first, according to court papers.

“The New Tower would block light and air to a building and [Sperone Westwater] gallery of contemporary art . . . and it would be more than double the height of surrounding buildings,” Angela Westwater says in her suit against Schrager and the city.

Schrager, who co-founded Studio 54, is known for splashy projects like the refashioned Gramercy Park Hotel. His reps declined to comment.
