A burglar who was caught on video before breaking into a Midtown Manhattan building through an open window got away with more than $50,000 in valuables, cop said.
The man can be seen on camera ascending the steps of the home near 29th Street and Ninth Avenue around 5 a.m. Tuesday and then climbing over a railing before finding the unlocked window and pushing his way inside.
The 32-year-old man whose pad was hit told cops the crook took $54,700 in personal belongings.
The bounty included a $6,500 watch, a wine rack, 40 bottles of wine, two ski passes worth $200, three laptops, 12 Apple cords, eight Macs worth $34,000, 30 pairs of headphones, passports, and $4,000 in cash, cops said.
The not-so-camera-shy perp can be seen ascending the front stoop. He then climbs over the railing before spending several minutes scanning the building as if looking for a way inside.
At some point, he pushed his way in through the unlocked window, cops said.
He has cornrows braided into his hair, a goatee, and was last seen wearing a gray sweater, orange sweatpants and black sneakers, cops said.
