Window pains

A string of house robberies terrorized Williamsburg on Sept. 19. Here’s a roundup:

• A thief robbed a residence on Grand Street near Humboldt Street between 2 and 4 pm, and took two computers and jewelry valued at $2,000. He also stole the tenant’s blue raincoat.

• A robber sneaked through an open window of a Scholes Street apartment between 1:30 and 7:30 pm, taking a phone, a laptop, and an iPod while the couple napped inside the unit, which is between Graham and Humboldt streets.

• A felon forced open the window of a house on Roebling Street between Grand and Hope streets and left with a big-screen TV, a Rolex watch, two diamond rings, a gold necklace and two Louis Vuitton bags. Their rightful owner discovered the crime when he returned home at 8:15 pm.

Game of Clue

Police caught a man red-handed as he prowled around an apartment on Grand Street on Sept. 16.

The handy thief was discovered inside the building, which is near Havemeyer Street, at around 10:30 pm with a crowbar. He was also in possession of a screw driver and a pair of gloves.

Off the nose

Police nabbed a man for robbing a passerby on Driggs Avenue on Sept. 15.

The victim told cops that he was out for a stroll near S. Second Street at around 12:30 am when he was brutally confronted by the perp, who punched him in the nose and ran off with his phone, iPod Nano, cash and cards.

The victim suffered a broken nose, but the thief suffered more: he was nabbed by police down the street.

Lipstick smacker

A thief snatched a woman’s purse from a table at a McDonalds “restaurant” on S. Ninth Street on Sept. 15.

The diner told cops that she was munching fries at around 4:45 pm when a man entered the eatery, which is near Broadway, and grabbed her phone, cards, cash and Estee Lauder lipstick.
