The madman who allegedly killed his ex-girlfriend and her daughter before turning the gun on himself in the Bronx has died, police said.
Jorge Vega, 52, died on Thursday at Jacobi Medical Center, the day after he murdered his ex-girlfriend Susan Trivino, 54, and her daughter Suchari Guzman, 29, before turning the gun on himself in their East 174th Street apartment.
Susan Trivino and her daughter Suchari Guzman.FacebookVega and his bus-driver girlfriend had ended their rocky relationship just the day before he opened fire at their home.
He allegedly murdered the mother and daughter using a legally owned 9mm handgun before shooting himself.
Guzman’s 1-year-old girl, Abigail, was in the apartment at the time but was removed unharmed. The mortally wounded victims were found in a bedroom, sources said Thursday.
The couple had a previous domestic incident in September 2017, when Vega filed a domestic-incident report following a verbal dispute with his girlfriend. He told police at the time that he and Trivino had been trying to fix their relationship, cops said.
Having recently been suspended for being drunk at work as a bus driver for the MTA, Vega had resigned less than a week prior to the murder.
Vega had worked as a bus driver for the MTA since 2012, according to SeeThroughNY.
