Emergency vehicles were on the scene early Wednesday of an overturned charter bus carrying dozens of passengers on New Jersey’s Garden State Parkway.

The bus landed on its side in Middletown at about 5:25 a.m. near exit 114 in the local, southbound lanes.

Several people suffered minor injuries, according to Parkway officials. The bus was chartered out of Lakewood.

Traffic was flowing along the Parkway.
