Cops are hunting for a guy who they say punched an MTA bus driver in Queens because he didn’t want to pay his fare.

The encounter happened on the Q88 bus shortly before 6 p.m. May 2 in front of the Queens Center Mall at 59th Avenue and 92nd Street, cops said late Wednesday.

The man began arguing with the 30-year-old driver about the fare, then slugged him in the face before running off.

The victim was treated at the scene for his injury, but did not need to be hospitalized, according to authorities.

Cops released video of the suspect, who was last seen rushing west on 94th Street.
