If you can’t come to Broadway, Broadway is going to come to you.

Two current Broadway shows — the Tony Award-winning musical “Memphis” and “The Importance of Being Earnest,” the Roundabout Theatre Co.’s acclaimed revival of the Oscar Wilde classic play starring British actor Brian Bedford — will be shown on the big screen at hundreds of movie theaters around the world.

The move stems from more high-definition-equipped movie theaters keen for alternative content.
