A 7-year-old Bronx boy drowned in a Stamford, Conn., hotel swimming pool on Christmas Eve, authorities said.

Capt. Richard Conklin said Jamiire Wilson was in the pool area of the Hilton with a brother and cousin, and his mother was also nearby.

Police aren’t sure how long the boy was in the pool. Lifeguards were not on duty at the time. The family was visiting friends in the area.
