A Bronx man was killed in a blaze that tore through his apartment, fire officials said.
Tyril Royer, 65, was found dead inside his third floor home at 686 East 234th Street at about 12:51 a.m., officials said.
The fire, which started in Royer’s apartment, was knocked down by 1:28 a.m. Another resident and a firefighter were taken to Jacobi Medical Center with minor injuries.
The cause is under investigation but it does not appear to be suspicious at this time.
