A manhole fire in Murray Hill injured one person Friday morning, the FDNY said.
A fire erupted near the intersection of Second Avenue and 36th Street just after 8 a.m., authorities said. The fire was placed under control nearly two hours later at 9:45 a.m.
One bystander was taken to Bellevue Hospital with minor injuries, fire officials said.
ConEd is probing the cause of the explosion.
