Cops released video footage of a cabbie being robbed with a knife to his neck by a suspect who had asked to be taken to Midtown Manhattan early Thursday.
Police say the 47-year-old taxi driver had picked up the knife-wielding man at 1:40 a.m. and took the suspect to West 43rd Street and Eighth Avenue.
When they pulled up to the location, the backseat passenger took a knife out of his pocket, held it to the cabbie’s neck and demanded his money, according to police.
He made off with $120 in cash and an iPhone 5. Authorities say the taxi driver suffered only a minor cut to his finger, and refused medical attention at the scene.
No arrests have been made, according to cops.
