A cabbie was charged Wednesday with harassing a Brooklyn teen a month after charges he had stalked her were dropped.
The victim, who goes by the pseudonym Anna Chambers, told police that Robert Melander has called her 50 times, including one occasion during which he pleasured himself while talking to her, according to court records.
The Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office on Sept. 5 dropped charges of stalking and harassing Chambers after she refused to cooperate with its investigation.
“The order of protection is done, so they can’t do nothing,” Melander, 57, allegedly told her during a Sept. 20 call, records show.
Melander’s attorney could not be reached for comment following Wednesday’s arraignment.
Chambers also has accused two former NYPD detectives of raping her inside a police vehicle in September 2017. That criminal case is pending.
