Manhattan prosecutors aren’t buying the “post traumatic stress” claims of an accused Muslim-hating cabby-slasher, who spent a short time embedded with troops in Afghanistan.
“Nothing in [Michael Enright’s] own account of his experiences in Afghanistan indicates that he witnessed or participated in any combat or otherwise traumatizing experience,” Assistant District Attorney James Zaleta wrote in papers filed this week.
The 21-year-old School of Visual Arts student nearly killed Ahmed Sharif on Aug. 24 at East 39th Street after the cabby told him he was Muslim, prosecutors allege.
