The 3-month-old child who was abducted by his mother in Northern California on Sunday, invoking panic and an AMBER alert, has been found, his father said.

Christian Sirois, the father of Maxence Sirois, wrote on Facebook Wednesday in French and English: “My son has been found, he is ok.”

Maxence had been last seen at 1 p.m. on Sunday and was in the custody of his mother, 42-year-old Marina Kazakova. Her vehicle, a 2016 white Mazda CX-5 with the license plate No. 7SJW989, had been last seen in Kern County.

The vehicle was found abandoned in a parking lot of the federal building on Wilshire Boulevard in Westwood, according to ABC 7. Neither Kazakova nor the child were found with it, but were located shortly after.

The mother has been taken into custody, and the child will be reunited with his father, the outlet added.

She allegedly did not return Sirois to his mother on June 30 as required by a court-ordered custody agreement.

Christian is a career video game designer who currently works as a Senior Technical Artist for Epic Games, according to his LinkedIn. Epic Games developed the popular multiplayer battle royale game Fortnite.
