BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Prosecutors say they’re recommending a 35-year prison sentence for a Bridgeport man who has pleaded guilty to killing another man to steal his Rolex watch, which turned out to be a knockoff worth $5.

Antwone Sharpe, 21, pleaded guilty to felony murder and other crimes Thursday in Bridgeport Superior Court. A second man charged in the killing, 19-year-old Lawrence Perry, awaits trial.

Police say the men fatally shot 35-year-old Darrell Geyer in his Bridgeport home on April 13, 2011.
