This is straight out of a Hollywood movie.
The FBI is looking for a bank robber, clad in camouflage and orange goggles and wielding a machine gun, who terrorized a Westchester bank Friday, investigators said.
The unidentified bandit first calmly strolled into the Chase bank on Warburton Avenue in affluent Hastings-on-Hudson at 8:50 a.m., authorities said.
He pointed his assault rifle as if he were a soldier at war and forced the bank personnel to get on the floor.
Though he was said to be “calm and polite,” the clearly dangerous crook also pointed a handgun at the teller and demanded cash, officials said. The teller forked over several grand, authorities said.
The armed robber — sporting a camouflage jacket, the goggles, black pants and black gloves — then fled.
The FBI said the man is in his late 20s and between 5-foot-9 and 6 feet tall.
“This is a very dangerous situation,” an FBI spokesman said in a release.
