A night parking-garage attendant was shot to death by a robber early yesterday.

José Lezala, 30, was shot in the head and hand in the office of the garage on West 132nd Street near Lenox Avenue at 12:30 a.m.

His friend Alfredo Ortiz, 31, said cops told him a gunman tried to steal the cash box and then shot Lezala when the victim said he didn’t have a key.

The victim’s father, José Sr., said, “If he knew the combination of the safety lock, maybe he would still be alive.”

Lezala had worked at the garage for about three months, and regularly sent money to his wife and young son in Texas, Ortiz said.
