A car struck closed nightclub in Queens Monday night, eyewitnesses said.

The car hit the Jouvay nightclub, at Liberty Avenue and Sutphin Boulevard, at about 10:00 p.m.

“There was no one inside the club, they are usually closed at that time of night,” said Suriender Chawla, 62, who works in the gas station across from the club. “I heard the car hit the wall, I could see through the window there was some kind of accident.”

The driver was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
