A car plunged 30 feet off the Van Wyck Expressway in Queens on Wednesday, killing one person, authorities said.
The silver 2008 Nissan sedan landed on its roof in a fenced-in gravel lot near 129-02 Northern Boulevard, according to police.
After being pulled from the mangled wreckage, 32-year-old Kevin Tamasar was rushed to Booth Memorial Hospital, where he later died, cops said.
Tamasar had been driving northbound when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a median. The impact was so strong, it forced his car over the ramp and down to the ground below.
Authorities are still investigating.
