A paroled killer who was pulled over in Harlem while driving an SUV belonging to a suburban murder victim has been labeled a suspect in the crime.
Reginald Powell, 54, of White Plains, was stopped for a traffic violation Thursday night, about two hours before police found Jennifer Katz, 49, dead in her house in Mamaroneck.
Police there said yesterday they believe Katz and Powell — who was paroled in 2008 after serving 22 years in prison — knew each other. Powell, a relative of Katz’s former boyfriend, was charged with burglarizing her house, according to the Journal News.
