Car-vic hubby’s anguish
The husband of a Brooklyn Heights woman crushed to death by a pickup truck Friday says his daughters lost their mom and their best friend.
Emmy-winning TV writer Martha Atwater, 48, was exiting a cafe near Atlantic Avenue when an out-of-control driver jumped a curb and pinned her against the building.
“The problem I have now is that I have two children. One is 12 and the other is 16. They need support,” Tom Wallack told The Post through tears.
“Martha was the light of my life, a wonderful child,” said Atwater’s father, Julian Atwater, 81, of Rochester. “She was always so happy and good-natured. She was about as perfect as one could ever get.”
