Police have nabbed a career criminal who is suspected of breaking into half a dozen Manhattan apartments, officials said.

James Leon, 55, was arrested and charged with six counts of burglary on Thursday. He is being accused of breaking into homes on the Upper East Side and in lower Manhattan during the last last two weeks of March.

Victims say they would usually come home to find their door slightly open and their laptops or jewelry missing, according to police.

Leon served two prison terms in the 1980’s for attempted burglary and attempted to robbery.

Police are currently looking for a second suspect they believe helped Leon.
