The alleged shakedown stalker of Yankees general manager Brian Cashman spent hours yesterday testifying on her own behalf before a grand jury, and is due back to wrap up today, according to a source.
Louise Meanwell, 36, who also uses the name Neathway, has maintained through her lawyer that she is no stalker and that Cashman voluntarily lavished gifts and favors upon her, including great seats in the family member section of Yankee Stadium.
Manhattan prosecutors counter that Meanwell extorted $6,000 from the married Cashman, and tried to squeeze him into giving her $15,000 more. His wife filed for divorce a day after the scandal broke.
